Our Passion
Formed in Brevard NC in 2019, ALR Trio brings classic influences like Cream and Hendrix, to form a melting pot of their own style of Blues/Rock music. Knowing each other from the local grapevine, Matt Allender, Tink Lawing and Rabbit put aside their own bands to form the super group and write their own music. With their long jam sessions and improvising skills, keep the music scene alive. Currently in and our studio, as well and playing live shows, the band plans to release their debut self titled album soon. Matt Allender
Born and bred in Brevard NC, Matt Allender is no stranger to the local music scene. Playing the drums since the age of 7, Matt brings Souther rock and country influences like Buddy Rich, Ginger Baker and Butch Trucks to the table. With his long elaborate jam style drum licks, it allows the band to explore all the possibilities to their fullest potential.
Tink (Ninja) Lawing
Having roots across the Carolinas, Tink paves the way as he holds down the bottom end. Trained in musical theory, and playing the bass and trombone since he was 9, Tink brings to life timeless riffs and progressions. With influences like Geddy Lee, Jaco Pastorius and Chris Squire, he plays a wide variety of the spectrum, from progressive rock to jazz fusion.
Rabbit
Born in Smithtown, NY, Rabbit moved down to the south to embrace the southern rock and blues scene. Playing since the age of 13, he continues to push his guitar playing to the limit, while playing music styles such as Blues, Soul, Southern rock and Jazz. His influences include legendary greats such as BB king, Duane Allman and Jimmy page.
